Well Everyone, the Mustang Club of America's 60th Anniversary celebration is in the books! WOW! It was a great event! We saw so many beautiful cars and met so many wonderful people and had so many fun adventures! On Friday Roxy and Cheryl volunteered in the accessories tent (we folded & bagged TONS of t-shirts!) then wandered around the Barber Motorsports Vintage museum with Craig. It is full of vintage motorcycles and the displays were stunning! Saturday we were joined by Craig, Chuck and Linda Livingston, and her brother Gary, and Leif and Donna Olson who had taken a side trip to Memphis.

We all have a bunch of great stories to share when we see you again.

WHEW! What an adventure! The storms passed over, but we were fighting winds the past two days! The skies have been beautiful and it finally warmed up. :) The cars have been doing great and running like tops! Roxy and Dwight killed a bucket yesterday and Leif and Donna finished it off! The bucket tweaked Roxy's bumper a little. While we were taking a break in Okemah, Oklahoma, we met a group from Mustangs West! Leif and Donna split off from us to spend an extra day in Memphis and visit Graceland. The Andersons and the Weathers continued on to Little Rock, Arkansas. When we arrived in Little Rock our first item on our agenda was to wash the cars. In true Anderson fashion we got lost and asked a young lady at a drive through car wash where we could hand wash the cars. The Andersons have been wet enough in their convertible! LOL! Word to the wise, never follow the Andersons! Just ask the Weathers!

Next Stop: Leeds, Alabama and Barber Motorsports Park!

Day five started rainy and cold, but no snow! Yay! We were concerned about the storms that were going through Oklahoma that day, but we had already been driving with them and they passed us by! Another fantastic, out of the way museum was found in Elk City, Oklahoma. It is the Route 66 Museum. We "drove" down Route 66 in a pink Cadillac, watched the "Creature from the Black Lagoon" at a drive in from the back seat of an Impala, Leif relived a childhood dream and slid down a brass fire pole! and had a great time wandering through the museum and the replicated old town. We met the local blacksmith and he regaled us with tornado stories and showed us a fun place to eat lunch. Enjoy a few of the pictures we took.
